Stefanie, for those unfamiliar with your work, could you introduce yourself?
Hello! I’m Stefanie, and I live my life immersed in creativity and music. Animals, travel adventures, and a good dose of humor are things I cherish. I strongly believe in kindness and the power of supporting and uplifting those around you.

Where are you based, and can you share a bit about your background?
I’m 30 years old and originally from Northern Ireland, which is where I’ve spent most of my life. I ventured to England for university and also lived and worked abroad in Spain, Greece, Turkey, and even Australia for a year. Five years ago, I returned home and settled back here.

What sparked your interest in getting tattooed and becoming a tattoo model?
My journey into tattoos was purely driven by admiration for the art form itself. It wasn’t about seeking specific meanings initially, but rather recognizing tattoos as a stunning way to express yourself. Personally, being adorned with incredible artwork has made me feel more confident and at home in my own skin. Growing up, I was always drawn to tattoos – my favorite bands had them, and I thought they were incredibly cool. I got my first tattoo at 17, but then paused for a few years due to my parents’ reaction!

Who is the artist behind your tattoos, and how would you describe your preferred tattoo style?
The majority of my tattoos are the work of my husband, Craig Kelly (@craigkellytattoo), and they represent a fusion of Traditional and Japanese styles.
One of my earliest tattoos was a Sailor Jerry swallow, and I’ve been captivated by the Traditional style ever since.
More recently, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for Japanese tattoos. A highlight was visiting Japan for three weeks last year, where we explored the Bunshin Tattoo Museum. While I appreciate individual pieces, I also have a full Japanese crane backpiece, inspired by that memorable trip.

Beyond being a tattoo model, what do you do professionally?
I am currently transitioning into becoming a tattoo artist myself! I left my previous job over two years ago to dedicate myself to tattooing. I’ve been spending time in the studio, observing, learning, and honing my drawing skills. Art has been a passion of mine since childhood, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to pursue something I truly love. Ultimately, I’d love to specialize in Traditional tattooing.

What is a personal dream you are striving towards?
My ultimate dream is simply to be happy, whatever path life may take me on to achieve that.
