However, inspiration isn’t confined to the digital or cinematic; Marco finds profound creative fuel in the tranquility of nature. “Taking long walks in a park or at the river in Dresden… I think that’s where I get the most ideas for my designs,” he explains. He elaborates, “There is a lot of Traditional foundation in it since I started with Old School tattoos and I still like them.” This foundation evolved into a style emphasizing stark contrasts and defined shapes, incorporating tribal elements into his surreal compositions. He praises it as having “everything you could wish for as a tattooer” and appreciates his talented colleagues there. He was set to attend ‘The Iron Gate Tattoo Convention’ (@theirongatetattooconvention) in Sydney in November, marking his first visit to Australia.
