Aftercare Instructions for Your Piercing
Proper aftercare is crucial for ensuring your new piercing heals correctly and beautifully. At All Star Tattoo, our piercers will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions specific to your piercing type. Generally, basic wound care is required for all piercings. We recommend the following guidelines:
Clean your piercing twice daily with Dial Gold Soap or an unscented mild soap. Gently wash the piercing and the surrounding area.
In addition to cleaning with soap, use a saline wound wash throughout the day as needed to keep the piercing site clean and free of debris. Apply the saline wash using a clean cotton swab or Q-tip.
Avoid touching or playing with your piercing with your fingers. This is a primary cause of infection during the healing process.
Healing times vary for each piercing type. Our piercer at All Star Tattoo will discuss the expected healing time with you during your appointment. Jewelry Changes and Removal Services
Need help changing your jewelry or removing a piercing? All Star Tattoo is here to assist! Our professional piercers can safely and comfortably change or remove your jewelry for a small service fee of $10, plus the cost of any new jewelry you select.
Important Information for Clients Under 18
All Star Tattoo welcomes clients aged 15-17 for piercings with specific requirements to ensure safety and legal compliance:
- Notarized Minor Consent Form: A completed and notarized consent form is required. You can print the form here: Minor Consent Form
- Parent or Legal Guardian Presence: A legal parent or guardian must be present at All Star Tattoo during the piercing procedure.
- Identification: Both the minor and the parent/guardian must present valid government-issued photo identification. Acceptable forms of ID include: Passport, Driver’s Permit/License, or Non-Driver Government ID. The minor must also present their Birth Certificate.
Please Note: All piercings for minors are performed at the piercer’s discretion. The piercer reserves the right to refuse service if they deem it necessary.
