August has been an incredibly vibrant month here at the studio, filled with amazing custom tattoo projects and exciting developments. Despite the Toronto weather offering a mix of sunshine and thunderstorms, the creative energy has been consistently bright. It’s been a joy welcoming so many clients, both local and from across North America, into the space to bring their tattoo visions to life.
This past month has seen a fantastic array of custom tattoo requests, and I’ve been particularly thrilled to work on some beautiful floral pieces. From delicate decorative floral sleeves to individual flower designs, the studio has been blooming with botanical art. It’s truly inspiring to collaborate with clients who appreciate the artistry and detail that goes into each tattoo. The passion and enthusiasm everyone brings makes every project special.
Booking for September through December has been wonderfully busy, and I’m genuinely thankful for everyone who has secured appointments. Looking ahead, I will be opening my books again from November 3rd to 5th for winter bookings. If you’re planning a tattoo for the colder months, keep an eye out for that booking window. More details will be available closer to the time, so you can prepare your custom tattoo ideas, perhaps even an August Flower Tattoo inspired design for a unique winter piece.
Adding some natural life to the studio, I recently welcomed two new pothos plants, alongside a mystery plant donated by a kind soul. They’re positioned at the front of the studio and hopefully thriving! A little greenery adds a refreshing touch to the creative environment.
Now that the new studio feels truly settled, I’m finding more time and energy to dedicate to drawing and developing new tattoo designs outside of custom requests. My sketchbook has been my playground lately, and I’ve been sharing some pages on my Patreon for those interested in a sneak peek into my creative process. I’m excited to translate these sketchbook explorations into fresh tattoo flash projects for the upcoming November booking. Expect to see some new august flower tattoo inspired sketches amongst other designs!

On a personal note, my little one celebrated her first birthday in August! It’s incredible how quickly time has flown. Seeing her grow and explore the world has been the most rewarding experience.

August also included a relaxing mini-break with a friend in a beautiful cabin by a pond. Despite some rainy days, it was the perfect setting for reading, drawing, and enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. Moments of tranquility are essential for creative rejuvenation.

Adding to the month’s highlights, I had the unforgettable experience of seeing Patti Smith perform live while supporting The National. Witnessing such a legendary artist was truly inspiring and a bucket list moment. For anyone seeking artistic inspiration, I highly recommend Patti Smith’s book “Just Kids.”
