My journey as a tattoo artist began a decade ago, and it’s been an incredible evolution from random jobs to discovering my true passion. The moment I first picked up a tattoo machine, I felt an undeniable spark of joy in expressing myself artistically. This path has allowed me to transform skin into a canvas for breathtaking art.
Art has always been deeply ingrained in my soul. I’ve spent countless hours studying the masters of the Early Renaissance – Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Giorgione, and Botticelli. Their profound understanding of form and detail resonates deeply within me and fuels my artistic drive. Traveling the world has further enriched my appreciation for art, and standing before Caravaggio’s baroque masterpieces was a truly awe-inspiring experience. Classical music often fills my studio as I work, a constant source of inspiration while I paint and draw. You could definitely call me a classic art aficionado. Beyond the art world, I also find myself captivated by the history of World War II, constantly seeking out documentaries and books to learn more about this significant period.
My personal life is just as fulfilling. High school brought me my amazing wife, and we’ve built a beautiful life together over the past 15 years, with almost ten years of marriage. Our family expanded with our two wonderful daughters, Angelina and Lilith. Fun fact – Lilith, as some may know, is said to be Adam’s first wife before Eve, a little piece of intriguing history.
When I’m not in the studio, I find peace and inspiration in nature. Fishing and lobster catching are favorite pastimes, and I love spending time by the ocean, observing the small wonders of marine life. Drawing and painting fill my free moments, allowing for continuous artistic exploration.
Halloween is a major event in our home; it’s practically a year-round celebration for my family. My wife and I are also avid movie fans, bonded by our shared love for cinema. I’m incredibly supportive of my wife, who is currently pursuing her nursing degree – her dedication inspires me every day.
Growing up in San Diego provided a fantastic foundation, but the world of tattoo conventions has broadened my horizons, taking me to places like Amsterdam, France, and Italy. Art truly permeates every aspect of my life, even down to the crafts my daughters create. The 80s and 90s, my formative years, were an incredible time, especially with cultural icons like TMNT and Bob Ross shaping my creative landscape. Documentaries are another passion, constantly sparking my curiosity and prompting deeper thought on a vast array of subjects.
What I truly love about tattooing, particularly Realism Tattoos, is the transformative process. Creating something permanent and meaningful on someone’s skin is incredibly rewarding. When a client approaches me with a unique vision, it’s an exciting opportunity to delve into research, learn something new, and collaboratively design a truly custom piece. This process of mutual creation and learning is what makes life so enriching.
I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you and create a lasting piece of art – a realism tattoo that we can both be proud of. For me, it’s about sharing a piece of my artistic passion, and for you, it’s about gaining a meaningful and personal work of art.
